The only thing notable about the GOP prez wannabe is his insulting/disgusting/egregious/outrageous/outlandish/childish/churlish attacks on everyone and anyone he believes doesn't like him, support him, look up to him, adore him. There are many of them. So a prez Trump won't be the first black eye in American history. I suppose that should be comforting. It isn't.
The acceptable standards for society's mores changed or shifted from the 18th, to the 19th and finally the 20th centuries. We can draw some interesting comparisons, but if you lift someone from their time, place and circumstances and try to impose some kind of judgement, you're asking for tainted results in the experiment. I fail to see or grasp what is sad about all of it. You do realize how strange and off track we would seem to someone of the 18th century with their understanding and experience so far from our own.
Trump would have to, you know, actually win the election to be a racist president, but that looks like it's not happening.
Touche m'dear! Thank you for your reply StuB and Happy Monday to thee. To which I say thank goodness! :)

You are not me Polk and vice-versa. I think being a racist IN ANY TIME AT ALL is very sad. You don't apparently. Well there you are. We disagree. So what? Right?
Thank you for your reply! :)
