I think after him? Anything they put out instead will be such a huge improvement, people will gather round once more.  There are a lot of idiots who hate Democrats.

Excellent answer CSV. But whose fault is that? GOP folks who slavishly  believed all that crap. At some point Rush Limbaugh had a bazillion viewers. I don't know if he still does. Then ya got that yellow rag Breitbart which is the repository of all the tin foil helmet wearers..conspiracy theorists don'tcha know? Why do we never hear about left-wing conspiracy theorists?  Do they even exist? Thank you for your reply and Happy Monday to thee! :)

Good questions. However NONE of them were so relentlessly insulting/disparaging/disgusting/demeaning and vulgar as is the current GOP prez wannabe . Thank you for your reply JakobA! ;)

How am I counting chickens sweetie? Oh you mean if Trump becomes prez he will have at least 4 years to do MORE damage? What do you mean exactly? Staying home and not voting scares me. What scares me even more is the attempt to intimidate voters and prevent them from voting. I fear that a great deal. I think it is sound don't you? You KNOW the GOP will do "whatever it takes" to stack the deck and play without any rules. Honesty being the least important to them.  Oh well. Time will tell. Thank you for your reply excon! :)

For me I dont think Donald will do as much damage as president as Hilary would. I would rather have Donald in office then a known pathological liar.

    Hello Rosie:

Let's NOT count chickens yet.  If people believe the polls and predictions, they'll stay home on election day.  The ONLY thing that'll get them out to vote is if they stay SCARED - really, really SCARED.  A Trump victory will change this country in very bad ways.

    Everything is relative.

More than Nixon? More than G.W.Bush? More than liberal comedians ?

He's actually making "normal" Republicans look reasonable. If the GOP can learn from this moment, and decide that they must never allow another Trump to happen in their party, he will have done some good for America.

Because of the demographic time bomb unleashed by the last two presidents, this will probably be the LAST election cycle in which it'll be possible for a repugnican to win.  If they don't get it this time (regardless of how Trump has damaged the brand), the repugnican party is defunct. Mathematically defunct.

Damage? FYI, it was 1928 the last time the GOP won without a Nixon or a Bush on the ticket. Americans have always elected the sleaziest candidate they could find. It seems the GOP has a hard time finding somebody sleazy enough.

And, since some nitwit always challenges that, here is the list:
Herbert Hoover March 4, 1929 – March 4, 1933 NO BUSH, NO NIXON
    Ike January 20, 1953 – January 20, 1961 VP Richard Nixon
    Richard Nixon January 20, 1969 – August 9, 1974
    Ronald Reagan January 20, 1981 – January 20, 1989 VP George H. W. Bush
    George H. W. Bush January 20, 1989 – January 20, 1993
    George W. Bush January 20, 2001 – January 20, 2009

I think Trump is a symptom and not the cause of the GOP's illness.  The real illness of the GOP came from the rise of right wing media outlets that peddled an extreme brand of paranoia, and a complete disregard for rational thought, logic or the rule of law.
