Thing is, a ton is 2,000 pounds. So "a ton of people" is supposed to sound like a lot of folks, but that's misleading if you really think about it. Some quick and dirty algebra reveals that you're talking about maybe a dozen people. Eight 150-pounders plus four 200-pounders gives you a ton. So to describe a crowd, a ton of people is nothing. You really need to talk about at least a hundred tons of people - that gets you over 1,000. Folks could sound so much sharper if they thought things like this through before writing.
I don't know if it is because we meet so late at night or early in the morning, depending on how you look at it; but, you sincerely do, crack me Up sometimes. Hugs and loves. :) :) I'm going to bed for a few hours.
This is the only social networking I do and I do agree, whole-heartedly, with the graffiti-body tattoos. I would like to say, however, I do have a tattoo. One. It is in a spot where you can see it most of the time. It doesn't jump out at you nor is it on any part of my hands, arms, butt or lower back. Of course, those last mentioned would not be visual all the time; however, it is something I designed, adore and am proud to wear it. Just to say, I am not against tattoos when they are done tastefully and mean something to you. Making your body as a graffiti board is very busy and distracting. I agree.
