Japan Prime Minister Shingo Abe's wife Akie Abe visited Pearl Harbor. She said she offered flowers/prayers at the USS Arizona Memorial. Was this due to Obama's visit to Hiroshima? Are we even?

It's a mistake to think that there can ever be "even", although I do think these kinds of gestures between countries matter. One thing we can be sure of, is that the folks who blasted Obama for "apologizing" to Japan for Hiroshima during his last visit (it wasn't exactly an apology, but a recognition of what had been done there) will either completely ignore Abe's visit, or write it off as irrelevant.
