Do you recycle glass and plastic bottles or just bung them in the Garbage.

Yeah, I'm the annoying recycle freak in my family. I even go through the garbage sometimes and pester them if I find recyclables in there.

  • Though I pay a fee for the township's recycling program, I do not participate. My house sits on a hill.  They provide a huge blue can to put the items inside.  It is too heavy for me to carry down to the street.  I asked if they would let me take the items out in bags and they refused.  It must be in the can provided.  So I throw everything away. • 23, wow.  I don't know, for some reason I thought you were maybe in your 40's, and I don't mean that in a negative way. Quite the opposite, you have an old soul, and that is a compliment.

We have container deposit legislated in South Australia, so recycling is worthwhile. I wait until I have a lot collected, then cash them in.

"Recycle" (it's actually the materials, not the items, that are recycled).

Our county uses two wheelie bins per household for the bulk of the refuse: one for paper, cardboard, plastic, glass and metal; the other for general waste - but not food or garden waste.

We have the small bins for waste food but I have never needed to use mine!

Larger pieces of metal and electrical scrap go to the scrap-yard if worth it, otherwise to the appropriate skips in the Council yard.
