Old timers: are you familiar with the old TV show "77 Sunset Strip"?



  Until today, I had never seen even one episode of the show, but ever since I was a little kid, I've always heard about it.  It turns out the show was an hour-long drama series. All these years, I have been under the impression that it was a sitcom similar to "Ozzie and Harriet" or "Our Mrs. Brooks" or "The Donna Reed Show".  (I've never seen any of them, either.)

  • I seem to recall my dad watching the reruns. I don't believe I have ever watched an entire episode, but I remember liking the theme song when I was little.  
    ( I loved old reruns of Our Miss Brooks and the Donna Reed Show when I was a kid)

  • "No" ... and there are full episodes of all those shows, on YouTube, regardless the age of your "timer."

    I do recall such a show and I believe I may have watched some episodes, but can't say I was a devotee.  I recall a character called Kookie and later a song with the words, "Kookie, lend me your comb."
