    Not a gift card, but I got a day at a spa, put it in my desk drawer at work, and promptly forgot about it.  I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to redeem it now although I haven't tried.

      I did the same thing with a gym/fitness center coupon about two years ago. I already had membership elsewhere, so I just let the gift lapse.

    I have one for a restaurant I was given in 1999.  Which may still be good.
