I'm guessing you have probably read the Bible.
The answer is there, all the way through the Old Testament in every book.
But in my view it at its clearest in Genesis.
Poor flamebait, dumb. Tisk, tisk. :-)

I revise my first answer: it answers only your second question.
I am an atheist - was raised that way. But due to intense curiosity about what people believe, I've read the Bible and quite a few other holy books, philosophy, and the basics of science. Perhaps predictably I came out on the side of science and existentialism, and a preference for Buddhist practice. But I'm also fairly strongly liberal. So, of course, to your first question, I say no.
I think doing this kind of study is useful because it helps us sort out our own beliefs and values and at the same time have a better understanding of others. We become not so easily swayed by propaganda. We learn the means to test evidence and reasoning and discover if they are valid. We are freer to choose.
I notice a lot of the other comments here and feel uncomfortable about them. Perhaps you enjoy this kind of humour - I know many do and that's fair enough. If you don't, it might be worth thinking about adopting a more positive or neutral avatar name. Not my place to give advice - so my apologies if you object. I wish you well.
It's a good way to weed out the ad hominem attacks and discredits the user.
Good point! You are clearly not what your name suggests. :)
GOD? What part of that word don't you GET?
Great choice of Usernames ...Very appropriate !
The Creator of All is just that. And not being of a Judeo-Christian faith we were never taught to 'worship' the way they have been.
