"How much of the internet is fake? A lot"   Per National Public Radio ( NPR)

"Most of the internet is fake including its users"  Per MSNBC

There are other sources that bear witness to the same exact thing. Pretend. Hoax. Lie. Fake. Phony. Synthetic. Artificial.  Fool's gold. Imitation diamond. Poison mushroom. Nothing and no one on whom you can count for anything at any time anywhere. Good to know. What do we do about it?

A bombshell or something with which you are more than conversant because you are a fake or know fakes and spread fake rumor and conspiracy theories and so-called "news"?

There is a list of fake "news" sites which grows larger and larger.  FAKE conspiracy theories are born here and live here and never die here. They breed and their progeny breed and so the oceans of phony are never-ending.

There are fake people with fake personas and fake businesses with fake products and fake testimonials for which people get paid real money. Everyone is surrounded by fake and many many many are fake and so that is the new normal. Was it always so? I do not know. SIGH.

    It's something I already know.  OF COURSE.

    If you need a barometer of what is FAKE news?  Just listen to Trump.  If he praises it?  IT IS FAKE.  If he deplores it, it is REAL.

    SO transparent.  So convenient.

    I did not know that Sharon.  I thought stable boy invented fake phony and his foreign meddlers lavished the internet with it. I don't mean that I thought everything was true and real and honest. I've looked up more than a few things Jim was interested in and every single one of them was a scam. But I didn't think that the entire thing was a perfect setup for phony. Maybe like the HOLODECK on Star Trek where you could order any life you wanted and just step into it and live it and once you stepped out it disappeared. Sigh. Yes I am naive but I'd rather be that than a suspicious shriveled up cranky friendless grouchy old woman who doesn't trust anyone or anything at any time for any reason. That's just not me and so I take my lumps because of it. But so what? Everybody takes lumps for something or another. Thank you for your reply and the graphic. By now the nose of stable boy would be dragging on the ground and he would have to wrap it around his corpulently OBESE body multiple times to get it off the ground. SIGH. Nevertheless I've NEVER seen the stable boy look more handsome than that even with the very long spindly snooz that sticks out prominently! He do have an ungodly handsome profile do ent he?     I don't know that and  I don't think that.

    I think it is a tool for the wise to use carefully and judiciously,  and the dumb to take whatever is fed them and believe it.
