    Nobody else even noticed. The federal government has shut down twenty times since 1976 for periods as long as three weeks. Nobody ever noticed.

    By rights, the taxpayers should get a 2% refund for every week the shutdown continues. But I don't suggest holding your breath.

    You know what would be a real crisis? If Amazon shut down. Loss of free Prime shipping would kill me. Totally ordered light bulbs today with one swipe. Like a boss.
