Would you please tell us what a libertarian's platform is about? (Gary Johnson is a Libertarian running for US President.)

We want the government to leave us alone and stop controlling our lives. This is an oversimplification but I am not into writing long answers.

Libertarian comes from liberty meaning freedom ... In this case it probably means give me the freedom to do what I want .... But there again I'm a cynic

Otherwise, libertarians believe that which governs best governs least.  Conservatives wanna be your daddy. Liberals wanna be your mamma. Libertarians want you to be an adult.  Libertarians will never start a war. Libertarians will never tell you what to do with your life, body or property. Libertarians will never tell you what doctor to see, what insurance to buy, what drugs to take, etc.

Ultimately, Libertarians want to leave you the hell alone.

Libertarians believe in voluntary revenue streams.  Things like consumption taxes, user and resource fees, etc.

Indeed, there ARE ways to fund the government which do not require force.

The problem with any consumption tax is that the poor end up paying a greater part of their income just to survive than the well off
