Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Back in the day pressure cookers were the rage. Mom used one a lot until it EXPLODED KABOOM! Anything ever EXPLODE at you?
You did? Not allowed where I lived. Not legally anyway. We had the sparklers of course and on 4th of July a couple of times we went to the Los Angeles Coliseum for the fireworks show. It was always spectacular! And of course black market fireworks found their way into neighborhoods and some folks, kids usually, always got fingers blown off or hands or some gawdawful thing! Why anyone would try to handle any of the big dangerous ones I cannot tell you. Nothing untoward ever happened? Do you have both hands, all your fingers? Thank you for your reply R! :)
I have all of the external appendages I was born with - but incidents such as those you describe are precisely why they're not allowed in Australia anymore either. Ppl lost eyes, too.
I was a ore chute blaster in a mine so I made a lot of kabooms but they were never a surprise. But once when I was doing one of my hobbies I had a big kaboom surprise - I was cooking up some Christmas weed oil and the ISO exploded and caught my kitchen of fire. The fire spread really quick because I had lots of Christmas decoration up but luckily the wife and I were able to get it under control. Cheers and happy weekend!
