My natural instinct would push me to save them without having the chance to even consider it, but if I did have the chance to think about it first then make a decision then I don't think I would.

I suspect we have very different views at ground zero, yet somehow we end up having similar opinions quite frequently - i find that odd and interesting.
I don't hate. The person who I dislike probably more than anyone else has no chance of me saving them because there is no chance of me ever being around them. If that impossibility did come to be, I would try to save them if I felt like I could do so safely.
