The longer this shut down goes the harder it will be for the workers to get another job. When people loose their job they have to cut out bills - if they cut out their internet and phone bill it will make job hunting a lot harder. If they loose their home or apartment and have to live in their car it will cut down on their chances of getting a job because employers like people to have a fixed address plus if they are living in their car they will get a bit grubby which will make them look bad in job interviews. I'm also wondering if people in the US don't have a fixed address are they still allegeable for food stamps or will soup kitchens be their only hope. A couple of days ago Trump stated that the workers will get their back pay - I don't think they will the US government doesn't necesarally have to compensate them for back pay and I think if trump had to choose between getting more money for his wall or compensating the workers he would choose the wall in a heart beat. Cheers!
