I always thought that time zones had increments of one hour. Are there any that are other lengths than that?

    Newfoundland Time Zone  (NST) :

    Here in Vancouver it is 10 am,  in Newfoundland it is 2:30 pm. Their increment is a half hour.

    That is so peculiar Kg. I had no idea that such existed anywhere until an Aussie Answermug friend told me about the time zones in his country! Shocked am I! I wonder what the thinking is behind that? Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday to thee! :)

    The  province is not far enough east to rate a full hour.
