what is your fave gem/mineral/stone

I like pearls. Mostly cos I have an awesome story to go with the first pearl necklace I ever owned. My then husband’s best friend was in the military and he was stationed in Dubai for a length of time. When he ruturned, we had a get together with some friends... and my husbands returning friend gave me a  pearl necklace he bought me there( cos jewlery is inexpensive there) I ran out into the living room where all the guests were and shouted «  John just gave me a pearl necklace! » everyone burst out laughing...I had no idea « pearl necklace«  was also slang for a sexual act. .... and I’m rambling now :) 

My favorites are opal, amethyst star sapphire, and black spinel

Sapphire is my favorite;  I worship the glorious blue hue.

Tourmaline is the gemstone of my birth month  (October) but green color doesn't suit me.

Amethist

I like sapphires and diamonds .. together or separately, they're very nice.  

Engagement diamond and matching post earrings. (you get earrings when you have to wait a long time for the ring) :  ) Aquamarine or A lighter emerald, opal, Amethist.
