  • I LOVE shopping NJ!  I would be there in a minute .. if there wasn't a huge ocean between us.  :)  I'll be shopping with you in spirit though!

    actually the song is about a boat loaded with bananas, and the happy fact that ww2 had ended so international trade could now happen again and bring exotic stuff like that.

    The boats and sails are better in Swansea, the yacht basin is full of stuff I cannot afford but love to look at.  The Yacht Club restaurant is open to the Public however - both the food and Beers are tasty.  Besides the Channel Sails can be a bit much don't you think?

    I Red Sails in the a SunSet were going cheap .....I think you need to cruise by the Channel Sails until the coast is clear....:)

    Could you understand them if you had to talk with any one from way up there....I find it quite hard to if I haven't heard there accent for a while...  :( 
    I have friends in Liverpool and can't understand them if I haven't spoken to them for a while..,,lol

  • They had moved from the UK and then to Canada and then the US before I was born.  So their accents were really kind of “watered down” and easier to understand for me. ????

    Manchester is only about 250-300 miles from London yet travel twenty -thirty miles out of London and you can here the difference in how people talk...  
    You must notice it even more in America..

    Just my luck, though I am a bit crusty and tarnished with snow on the roof the boilers are hot and in good shape.  "sigh".........
