  • They were a big favorite of my dad's, so of course I love them as well.     Creeque Alley is my favorite.  That one and of course California Dreamin'

    I truly can say I ahev yet to hear a Mamas and The Papas song I haven't liked.

    I use "favorite" as a word too oftem I know -- (I don't care about my typos)

    but  I can tell you, Element 99, that by far my favorite The Mamas and The Papas song is "Twelve Thirty"

    ever since I first heard the song as a young child - - those opening words, and gorgeous melody - - 
    "I used to live in New York City -- everything there was dark and dirty . . ." -- the song, every time, took me away to other places than my bedroom I sahred with my brother (where i remember most listening to the group's music)

    God -- I lvoe this song  -- it makes me almost cry, I find it so very very beuatiful

    I remember that Creeque Alley.  They had good harmonies but I never related to them or their recordings.
