What happened in your life that made you feel like a real grown up?

  • Not sure what a "real" man or woman is.  I know what made me feel like a real grown up ... that would be having a child and being responsible for making sure he grows up happy and healthy.

I am definitely grown up.  We raised four kids.  All of them are healthy, happy and prosperous.

After mailing out the first half of the month's bills, I was probably 20 yrs old. It was something I remembered my parents and friends parents talking about doing at the kitchen table. I just thought I guess I am a grown up now too.

When I was 20 years old, there was absolutely nothing wrong with me finding a 19-year-old woman hot and coming onto her.  I try it now and she'd pepper-spray my eyes enough to supernova, call the police, and I'd be the lead story on the local news . . .

I guess when I stopped believing and fearing that I was somehow some kind of genetically deviant male.  In spite of menstruation.  Around age 17 .

Question I answered was when did I feel like a "real" man/woman which seems to have been changed.  This post was edited by officegirl at February 4, 2019 4:52 AM MST

I don't know. I never grew up. I'm a 67 year old man with an 18 year old brain.
