If you have too much money and never really watch anything worldly, don't care and want to not be inconvenienced, you are Republican.

If you are like the rest of us?  You are either an uneducated moron like the rich ones, but with no money, or you are a Democrat who is coming for Trump.

Thank you for your reply Sharon and Happy Friday! I LOVED how Nancy clapped "down" to the gaslighter-in-chief at the SOTU speech. She was seated above him. He was standing below her. A very fitting setting don't you think? I didn't watch it. I couldn't escape seeing/hearing bits and pieces in short clips of his more stupid statements of course. His speech was LAUDED by his peeps. More of the same old crap. More digs at his "enemies". He is so boring and predictable. He is obsessed  with revene retaliation and every grudge he picks up stays with him. He is a mess! But the beloved of some. Go figger! :)

If you look at stats Republicans give more than Dems. That could be that Dems do not file their giving on their taxes...I do not file all of mine.

But there is a difference in giving your money or giving someone else's money. It is easy to be generous with other people's money (taxes).

You need to understand a thing that all zealots ignore.  FOX NEWS does not equal stats.

If we're talking charitable giving ... the last comprehensive survey I could find was 2005.

    https://www.philanthropyroundtable.org/almanac/statistics/u.s.-generosity

The thing I found most interesting: The main source of revenue for charities is fees.  72% vs only 13% from private contributions.

I wasn't thinking of charitable giving Walt. I was thinking of policy. Which party takes away things that benefit we the people and gives it to the obscenely wealthy? Which party insists its religious views be legalized forcing everyone to live by its beliefs? Which party tore children away from their parents, locked them up in kennels and cages and sent them to live in tent cities where thousands STILL remain? Which party had no plan or clue how to reunite these shattered families and still don't? Which party doesn't give a rat's a** about gun violence and makes fun of parents who have lost children to mass murderers? Which party sneers at things like social security medicare medicaid and WANTS private parties to run things to make money off poor people? Which party blocks truth and justice being served? Which party gives only lip service to LAW and ORDER and worships a Fascist despot dictator who may well be a Russian agent?  Which party keeps manipulating and sabotaging voting rights of people they know won't vote for them? Which party gets off on all the lies their saintly crucified second "jesus" tells and supports him and the LIES resolutely absolutely obsessively? You get one guess. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :)

Consider though the question: Are the areas under control of the Democrats measurably better off, than areas under control of the Republicans?

I don't see evidence of it.

It doesn't matter if you live in a "red" or "blue" state ... the middle class is shrinking, infrastructure is in disrepair, and public schools lag behind the rest of the developed nations.  All those things are influenced more at the local level than the federal level.
