SNOBS are everywhere. There are music snobs and wine snobs and clothing snobs and residential snobs. Who was the first snob? About what?

Why ask? Well why not? Decades ago I worked in a research lab with genius scientists . My job was to edit their reports. None of them could spell worth a dam*. One of them was a snob about music. He lectured me one day about the merits and SUPERIORITY of GERMAN opera! I loved the music of Rimsky-Korsakov and he looked down his nose at me for admitting that. I like art that I like. I don't like art that I don't like. Of course I know nothing about it other than that I like it or I don't. Same with music or literature or food or wine or anything. So how come snobs make rules about such things and then lord it over you because they think they KNOW and you don't know what is quality and what is dreck? So what think you and why? Are you a snob about anything?

Aussies are coffee snobs. Do you know where Starbucks failed? Australia, that's where. We won't pay high prices for bad coffee. Cafes in the UK often advertise for Australian or New Zealand baristas.

Aren't you also a SNOB about your beer R? I seem to recall a conversation we had a few years ago about the Aussie beers but maybe I conflated that with another conversation we had about beer. I don't like Starbucks. I think it's way overrated but it's very expensive so of course snobs want you to know how many coffees (double latte configliario super duper two shots of hot shots supercalifragilisticexpialadocioius) they buy daily at $4 a crack. I'm not impressed.  Try drinking a cup of the ordinary tap-type Starbucks coffee black and it will kill you! It's so strong and BITTER it will massacre all your tastebuds unless they are dead to  begin with. And yet...just like Rolex Watch....they carry on! Aren't they special?  SNOB city . SIGH. It's okay. I'm a snob too R. About the folks I let get close to me. About the folks I engage with and spend time with and  chat with and have pleasant times with. A real pain-in-the-a** SNOB. Never said I was perfect! Thank you for your reply! :)

I'm a beer CONNOISSEUR. Okay, a snob. I've yet to sample a drinkable American beer, but then again maybe the US is like Australia and only exports the awful ones that the locals won't drink.

Guess you have never had Dale's Pale Ale, Samuel Adams Double Bock, Wormtown Be Hoppiest, or  Lawson's Sip of Sunshine.

How about the kind of snobs who think they know better than anyone else?  Who daily come onto chat sites to take cheap shots at our president?  Or are they not "snobs" but just bullies?

Trump has often said he knows more than his generals, the intelligence community and many others.  He tweets daily on Twitter taking cheap shots at people he doesn't like.  Do you mean THAT kind of person?  Does that make him a snob or a bully - or both?
