No, not entirely. Though it does bug the sh!t out of me that even though she's in charge, she still goes out on every case, as if she's one of the detectives. And she's always in the middle of every case, too. How often did Capt. Cragen go out on run of the mill rape cases? He didn't. I know she's the star of the show, but it bothers me that she's the boss AND doing almost every interview, in almost every scene. It's a big departure from how every L&O series has been structured. Maybe I don't like change? I dunno. There are only 3 detectives and Olivia now, too. There were always at least 2 sets of partners before, plus the boss. It's unbalanced.
Do you still watch the new episodes? I guess most of it is the story lines, but she doesn't seem to have the edge she once did. I watched this past week's and it honestly seemed like mediocre daytime soap acting all the way around.
