    Great news ROSIE!!!

I do not have cancer.  Hooray.  I was operated on yesterday.  Had gallbladder removed and am so relieved.  I was told in November that it looked like cancer in my gallbladder and they were wrong.

    Praise GOD.

So, I am awake because I've got my days and nights mixed up a bit.

But I do keep these hours a lot.

((hugs)) I KNEW you would be okay! I just VISUALIZED it Sharon just as I did for myself in 2008! That is awesome news! Now what does a gallbladder do for us?  Will you have to take pills the rest of your life or is it something you don't need? I mean at the age of 70 I did not need my uterus or ovaries so when they were removed it phased me not at all. Is a gallbladder a lifetime necessary thing? Thanks for sharing that wonderful news! My sleep patterns have been totally screwed up since the surgery in January 2008 and the months of chemo. Screwed up Jim's sleep patterns too and we never got back to normal. But I'm alive so that's all that counts. You're alive too sweetie and gonna stay that way. You will live long and prosper. So say I. ((hugs)) :):):):):):):):):):):) This post was edited by RosieG at February 11, 2019 8:51 AM MST

Rosie, I have been praying every day of course.  But one morning I just felt it.  I felt all the fear lift from my shoulders and I just knew I was not going to have cancer.  I floated around for a week or two like that, and then another doctor, my primary care one, told me to get serious because it might be cancer.

So, I have doubted my own self.   But I want you to know your instincts were right.   We shall overcome Trump and cancer.

I have often wondered how much the "knowing" had to do with the actuality Sharon?  The positive force of the mind on the body is inescapable. Now I am not saying that everyone can think themselves out of danger from disease. But if you have in your mind that you are going to die or you fear you will die or "why me?" or any of the other negatives that can work against you..well how much effect does that have on the body? It's like you are betting on losing a battle. Why not bet on winning it?  Even if you had had cancer you would have beaten it Sharon. How do I KNOW? Of course I don't KNOW but my belief in it is very strong and I wouldn't bet against me. That sounds cocky and I don' t mean to sound that way. It's just this. Always see yourself as winning. If you don't at least that time was spent working for you not against you. Thank you for your reply Sharon! :)

Terrific news S. I lost my mother to cancer 4 years ago, and a sister-in-law 6 years before that - and my wife's other sister is going through chemo now. So it's great to know that you are not a victim to this cruel, insidious disease.

Oh my God.  Well, I was thinking about just this all along.  How do I announce I am cancer-free to those of us that may be experiencing cancer or have a loved one who has it?

All I can say is, I know people cheer us all on; we, who have made it past a danger point in cancer journies, and I certainly have lost enough people to this dread  disease that I know the pain of losing someone to cancer.

Thank you for your kind words and I pray that your losses are over.   I pray you experience recoveries and hope just like I was awarded this time. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at February 12, 2019 6:50 AM MST

Good grief I hadn't thought about that but you are 100% CORRECT! It's bad guy music fer shure. OY VEY! I like the graphic muchly and I love the banjo touch bunches! I miss addressing you as Ele. I could call you by your given name but well we don't disclose private information like that so since I have no other practical choice I will call you 99! But then I think about Agent 99...was that the guy or the gal? Don somebody. A secret agent. I dunno Ele. It's gonna take awhile to adjust. Give me some wiggle room please and thank you. Oh. Wait a minit. I could call you E. Only me and thee know what it represents. It could be enthusiast exceptional exotic excellent or any others. I think that's it!  Happy Monday to thee E! :) This post was edited by RosieG at February 11, 2019 8:47 AM MST

I like minor blues. Some of Bach's minor fugues are also amazing, but on the whole I prefer upbeat stuff which is mostly in major keys.
