Well, supposedly, George didn't really stop it.  He allowed for it.  I'm not getting involved.

  • There's all kinds of love triangles around Clapton/Harrison.  I think I remember hearing that the woman who was Eric Clapton's first baby mama claimed she had an affair with George Harrison after their son died.

I think Clapton and Harrison should have married each other, that was the true love story.

  • Yes, George and Eric were good friends, even when Eric was able to "steal"  Patty Hanson away.   He didn't really steal her though, as George did not object. He and George remained good friends.  I forget who else she hooked up with, but she was my most favorite groupie.    She and Pamela Des Barres (Sp?)   Several songs were written about her, but offhand at the moment I don't recall which.  I am sure it's Google-able though. • Yea George and Eric were still good friends even after Eric ended up marrying her....from what I've read she and Eric weren't a happy couple at all.  But good for her for inspiring such a great song, lol.

  • OK that's it. I need to Google the other songs she inspired, because there were several.

  • I believe that would be Pamela Des Barres, or that other one... I don't recall the other famous groupie's name - Charlamain, or something like that. I beleive it was Pamela though.

  • My head feels alright at the moment so I googled for us.  The character was supposedly a combination of all the groupies Cameron Crowe came across during this time as a 70's rock writer but the main inspiration was Pennie Lane Trumbull.

  • Pennie Lane, that's the one.  I don't know where I got Charlamain from.
