  • We recycle, but only because the bins and the weekly pickup are free.   If that weren't the case, I wouldn't bother, because as SS mentioned, there hasn't been an inexpensive way to create useful items. This post was edited by Benedict Arnold at February 15, 2019 8:18 AM MST

  • I wouldn't be offended by my answer.  I mentioned the service is free, so we do recycle.  I thought I was clear.

  • In our former town we too had to pay a small monthly fee.  Up here that is fortunately not the case.   In fact, I had to call them two or three times to remind them to drop off  a bin for us when we moved here, and sometimes they 'forget' to come to this neighbor to pick up.  If I were paying a fee for this, I would have a problem with that.

    yes i recycle. its better to reuse stuffs that we can, than putting them in the garbage.... only thing tho, is 'they' really put efforts to come and recycle inexpensive stuffs like papers , plastics , or metal.

    I recycle everything I can. We give our aluminium cans to a friend who cashes them in for a supplement to his income.

    I do recycle and I don't understand why people don't since it isn't that difficult to do.  What I'm not sure about is how worthwhile it is since we haven't come up with an inexpensive way to create many useful things from what we recycle.
