It becomes very personal and you have to understand the thought process. While wearing makeup may be completely mindless it might lead to our becoming so hung up on our appearance that is all we think about that becomes what drives us. Which is wrong. Now dances are Ok for socializing and meeting people and having a good time. But when they become our whole lives and that is all we think about then we lose a good sense of proportion. The idea is that anything which can take our focus off of God is evil. So we have to be careful.
