Actor Jesse Smollett was arrested for giving a false report to police about being the victim of an ALLEGED hate crime. Why would he do that?

I think it's a felony. I guess he got a couple of guys to stage an attack. The benefit to him of doing that and getting away with it would have been what? Attention? Publicity? Sympathy? Now he ruined his career, disappointed supporters/loved ones. All for what? A little donny doughboy stunt. Oh well. He made his bed and will lie in it. He done did the dirty deed to himself. How should he be punished for lying?

    I am going to ask the question in the main section; how and why is it even in the news and who gives a crap. I never heard of the douche-bag before he was on the news?

    Chicago PD INTERVIEWED 100 people E. The effort put into this fake phony set up took away attention from actual crimes. You don't think that SUCKS bigly and deserves attention?
