If I weren't an American living here I'd look upon this country as a SOAP OPERA. A very bad soap opera with a very bad leading "actor". You?

I'd think the voters would be dam* fools to renew his contract! Folks must look upon us as witless hapless pawns of a demonic Russian agent posing as a "patriotic" American. We, the non-Americans, see through the ruse 24/7 but the core base doesn't. And we wonder how they can be so blind? Yep. The little donny doughboy is an odd leading "actor". He is unbelievable, untalented, unattractive and more than a bit wacky. He does/says the most outrageous absurd incredibly peculiar things and his core of true believers buys everything he does/says. We wonder when they will get a clue. We are mesmerized by the spectacle. We can't not look. Like a bloody accident we pass by dreading what we might see but looking nevertheless. SIGH.

    In all honesty, we look at all the presidents as really bad leading actors, however we look at our own politicians in the same manner, remember Spitting Image?

    Thanks for the info m'dear. We have a channel called TVLAND here in the states and that's where you can find TV shows  many decades old. I run away to there sometimes so my head won't explode!  :)

    A soap opera is too mild.   Nothing earth-shattering ever happens on those.   This is more like WAR OF THE WORLDS.

    I will buy that.  Individualism vs. government control.  Self-determination vs. slavery.  Whether we matter as people or whether we become only cogs in some vast social engineering scheme.
