My wife watches the Lifetime channel. Many of the movies are filmed in the Vancouver area. In the movies it always seems to be sunny.

How do they find enough sunny days to film them? Help me out Canadians.

    I don't know Vancouver.

    If it is like Phoenix, you need to find the rainy days. 

    But I don't think that is the case in Vancouver.

    Why am I answering this?  I don't want to get ready for work, I told you.   Look at her.   She even has orange hair.   She is a perfect member of Trump's base.

    Summers in Vancouver are the exact opposite of winter. We might get more than a month of dry sunshiny days with no rain and during the summer there will be restrictions on water consumption even though we got mountains of water to the north and east of us. 

    I had a friend from South Korea which is about the same area as Vancouver Island with a population of 60 million and she said was never any water shortage. Our water reservoirs supply about 2 million people.

    Hello welcome to B.C.! I never been to Powell River, it's about 50 miles north of Vancouver on the coast. Lotsa fishing and hiking.. i'll just give you this Web site -

    I watched the credits at the end and there was a Canadian company cited. Also, in one movie, I heard a distinct Canadian accent from a bit-part actor.

    I think the Osoyoos desert is around that area maybe they filmed there then used Hollywood magic to make it look like Vancouver. Filming is becoming a big business in BC Vancouver is sometimes called Hollywood North.  Cheers! This post was edited by Nanoose at February 26, 2019 5:27 PM MST

    They show mountains and lots of pine forests, but never The Vancouver skyline. The credits at the end do say BC.

    When I say pine tress, I usually am just referring to evergreens in general. But it could be interior. They vary where they make the movies, so I never see the same place twice. Any city skylines are pretty generic and I don't recognize them. Thanks.

    Well if there is a horizon in the photos we could use trigonometry to pin point the location. I was also thinking that if you see APTN in the credits it would probably mean it was filmed in this area. Cheers!
