Millions and millions of y'all ADORE don and the job he has done. Y'all think he's doing a stellar job. We think he isn't. What's going on?

Y'all see one person..the same person.
We see another person entirely.

You see light, we see dark
You see good, we see bad
You see heaven we see he**
You see patriot we see traitor

Why you see what you see I cannot understand just as why we see what we see you cannot understand.

Could someone be playing a colossal joke on us? Separating us into polar opposites and then just sitting back to see what happens? Are we in the grip of an unknown force from a different reality being who is enjoying toying with us since we are clearly so entertaining?

They see money even though they are not getting any of it.  That is all they think they see.  And they do not want to ever admit that their idol is a piece of cow dung.

They do not talk about the TAX CUT FOR THE RICH....WELFARE for the already wealthy. Scuttlebutt is that tax cut saved little donny dingbat and his family ONE bILLION bucks. If the scuttlebutt is true well the little donny dingbat crime family is making out like bandits at our expense. His peeps don't begrudge him anything. Peculiar aren't they? Thank you for your reply Sharon. :)

    We consider low unemployment good.
We consider lower taxes for everybody good.
    Fewer regulations are good.
    More manufacturing jobs are good.
    Higher stock market is good.
    Securing the border is good.
    Increased wages are good.
    Increased GDP is good.
    Improving trade deals are good.

    All I see is good.

President may not say things the way I would say them. But that is just semantics.

I think the whole Good/bad dichotomy can be very dangerous because it leads us to think that if someone is somewhat "bad" they have to be all bad.  Or if someone is somewhat "good" then everything they do must be good.  Which is really very rigid thinking.  People are a combination of bads and goods which of course as well depends on our points of view and just how we define what is "bad" and what is "good".  Which would depend as well on what we fear and what we admire most.

Donald Trump is supposedly the wealthiest president ever. He has played big business games where wealth is accumulated and wealth is invested or spent easily. Now some people are jealous of those who do well or resentful of them which might dispose them unfavorably to a wealthy person. Others might admire success and want to learn from it and emulate it in part so they have no resentment.  Many of us see a wealthy man taking on an impossible job when certainly he does  not have to but we admire that he has been willing to stand up for many principles we value in out own lives and in this civilization. Freedom of the individual, self-determination, religious faith - at a time when  we see these all threatened by a rush to make everybody exactly the same.  To understand that an individual can rise or fall by his/her own actions  rather than being coerced to accept a life not congenial to them.  To appreciate that to work for one's daily bread makes life more sweeter in a day and age when many people don't care to life a finger to do anything and just think they somehow have the "right" to let others support them or deny the existence of private property.

Now to people who believe that hard work, sacrifice, and success are somehow "evil" then they will not care for Donald Trump. If they believe everybody should all earn the same thing, act the same way, believe in the same things, and have the same tings - all paid for by the government - then I would guess Trump is not their "cuppa tea".  These were not ideas that had much currency when I grew up but many people have come to believe them and they rather myopically see some kind of bright "future" for themselves - or mankind in general - from such uniformity.  So they don't have much respect for someone who specifically says that our greatest times as a country were in the past though some of us agree with him in terms of that in the 1970s for instance people all believed they needed to get out and find work to support themselves rather than just sitting back and being supported by the government.  Because without the tax support of the those who work in earn a living there is no government money at all which they don't seem to acknowledge.  So we need to encourage people to get out there and do well rather than penalizing them for their efforts and success.
