Is there such a thing as a smart dishwasher?

I mean besides me. I want one that I can start when I'm at work. I'd also like the one that will load and unload it as well. ;)

I think they have some wash until it decides the dishes are clean. I bet they do have a wifi startup available.

  • Im one of those weirdos who likes doing dishes. But instead of a smart dishwasher, we need one of those Rosie robots from the Jetsons. I need her for laundry. I hate doing laundry meh.

Omygoodness! I love Rosie from the Jetsons! Yes, she would be all I need and especially for laundry.

Only problem is that between chores, she comes on here and posts political questions ad nauseam. Just take a look in Rosie's Corner.

  • Haha yep :) I’d order her to run to the kitchen for me right now to grab a drink  cos I’m to exhausted  to move :) I want a Robot:/ I guess I better start dating again soon, so I have someone to grab me a drink.

In Grandma's house kids wash dishes. So the grandson was visiting and Grandma was away and he was a little smarta@@ and kept putting off washing the dishes. About midnight I finally turned off the tv and told him no more tv until he washed the dishes. Then I went to bed.

I was awaked by a whisper. "Dad? Dad? The sheriff's here." I got up and went to meet the sheriff. G'son had gone to the deputy's office and asked them to help him get back to his mother's place! I told him "If you want to go back to your mother that's ok, but you still have to wash the dishes." He was totally put out that he had to miss "Monty Python".

I have yet to understand why dishwashers need to start on their own.  It's a matter of closing the door.  I long for the old really good dishwashers.  The ones sold now are horrible.  I was hoping those regs would be relaxed by Trump, but not yet (that I know about anyway).  Anyone of average intelligence knows that a load of dishes cannot get really washed and rinsed with 4-6 gallons of water per cycle.  My dishes look clean at the end of the cycle, but if I fill a cup with water there will be a bit of suds.  So, the dishes do not get rinsed adequately.   So after the damn machine runs for two hours I immediately run the 25 minute rinse cycle.  A minimum of the machine running 2.5 hours.  My old Kitchen Aid dishwasher did a load in 32 minutes.  Perfect.  It used 12 gallons of water.  So the Energy idiots in Washington (during King Obama's reign) came up with the genius idea of saving a few gallons of water but running the motor for an extra two hours.  That way not only do we use more energy, we'll get to buy machines more often.

Alas, I strayed a bit here.  Sorry.

When you live alone you have no need for a dishwasher.
