Does your pet get jealous?

Whenever I pat a dog at work my dog seems to know it the minute I get home. Then he will start sniffing my hands and legs - start grumbling - huff off into the front room and then pretend to ignore me for 10 minutes or so. I bet if he could talk he would say stuff like - well were they a good pat. Cheers and happy weekend!

    Definitely.  We had a dog that used to get jealous if we pet our cat.  My daughter's two dogs are always trying to nudge each other out of the way when someone is patting them.

    I don't have a pet, but when I visit my sister, her older dog gets jealous if the new little one gets to the door first and I pet him before the big one.

    I have parakeets.  Eight of them.  They sometimes get testy if one gets attention and the other one wants to butt in.  Bird stuff, you know.  But they get over it  really quickly and usually are the best of pals.
