I'd say, like opinions, everybody's got their own..
Human embryos are deuterostomes. That means, that humans develop the anus first of all openings in the body, and this occurs at about the nine week mark, so yes..we all start out as assholes

I had previously attributed much of human stupidity/jerkiness on a lack of cognitive development (failure to acheive Formal Operations stage) and/or lack of moral development (failure to get past reward/punishment stage of moral thinking).
Apparently, it starts MUCH earlier....;-D....
