Do news items about children dying make you weep?

No. A few days ago I saw on the news that a kid was raped, beheaded and had his genitals mutilated by the killer. I didn't feel anything. I am afraid I have seen so much death on the news that I have started to become insensitive. Sad but true.

  • Newspapers and television channels must have a good-news page and a good-news hour daily, don't you think? That will convey to us that humanity isn't dead, and give hope to all. Perhaps even encourage us to follow the example and do good things for our community.

Not usually.  I probably don't read too many either.

I always feel really, really sad when I hear of anyone dying. I sometimes cry, especially when little children die, or suffer abuse of some kind.

  • YES Big time!  I can't watch the news or read a newspaper because of it.

    With regularity.

All the children I knew that died were in pretty bad shape.
