I too have lived through some deaths by the result of suicide and alcoholism.  Horrible.

Sounds like she had the most fatal of all strokes.. a huge bleed to the brain rather than a clot.. she probably wouldn't have known anything about it... but still very sad.

Those neighbours were so cruel and they must have no empathy at all...how could anyone be so cruel and moan about the smell to the grieving son.... and also take into consideration this poor woman died alone.

They could have at least moaned in private.. some people are just horrible. grrrrrr

  • Some neighbours can be most insensitive and uncaring. It appears to be a common trait with neighbours around the world.

Thank you, PeaPod and cherryblossom, for your comments.

I think whatever hit her had to be so sudden.  She never even dropped the newspaper that was in her hands.  Besides the somewhat macabre circumstances of her body being discovered, we took peace in the fact she never knew what hit her.

I suppose the neighbor was overwhelmed with the smell and may not have known it was the son she was speaking to.  I imagine there were a lot of rescue type people there on the scene, right there with him.

Most welcome Neelie and thank you. :)

And yes sadly neighbours can be very insensitive and just think about there self... it just shocks me how people can be like that.

I'm glad she passed away so peacefully and you took peace in that. :)
