Is it easy to find T-shirts with words or slogans on them in languages other than English?


  I’ve been to at least 20 foreign countries throughout my lifetime, and one recurring theme in the majority of them is that when looking for souvenir T-shirts, or T-shirts in general, many times their wording was in English. Even in the United States, a country that almost anything can be found for sale, I can hardly ever find foreign-language writing on T-shirts.

  • I’ve never thought about it, but you’re right. I never see T-shirts with anything other than english.

    You're right that even other countries that english isnt their main language, people wears shirts with english things on it. It's how english is universal today.

    Here's a funny story.  When we were in Copenhagen, I wanted to find a sweatshirt with "København" on it.  I went to several souvenir shops but they either had New York City on them or they said "Copenhagen."  I asked the clerk where could get a good "København" sweat shirt and he said, laughing, "New York City."  I decided to go to the University.  There I found one with the emblem for the University and "København" correctly spelled in big print.  The sweatshirt itself was much higher quality than those in the souvenir shops and it was almost half as expensive.  Buena suerte.

    I can go into the 1st district and get them in German, French etc etc etc you just have to look for them.  English does sell better however
