Only until one achieves full knowledge of the Cosmos.
Allegedly, that is one way to ascend to godhood ... but in every alleged case I know of, the individual also went insane.

You are talking about something other than reincarnation, Karma and reaching Nirvana correct Walt? What is that one way?  Thank you for your reply!  :)

    Yep ... something else.
There are fictional stories of a mortal using magic to gain all knowledge - which then ascends them to godhood.
But since the mortal mind isn't capable of understanding all knowledge, the person goes insane in the "blink of an eye" they are still mortal after gaining the knowledge.

If you saw the last Indiana Jones movie ... it's kinda like the scene were the aliens are loading their knowledge to the scientist, and she can't handle it.

I think I saw all of them Walt but honestly I do not remember the scene you describe.  When I had chemo in 2008 I was told one of the possible side effects would be loss of memory. There are things I can't recall because I guess they're gone from my memory bank. Did you see the movie CHARLY decades ago with Cliff Robertson? It is based on my favorite SCIFI short story by Daniel Keyes called "Flowers for Algeron". It is a very bittersweet story. I wonder if that doesn't describe life? I'm gonna ask. Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)
