When relationships run their course are you the one who cuts the ties with the gals/guy or is it always "the other" who cuts and runs?

Mostly me when I could feel them losing interest.  And I think mostly has to be us because most men will just keep it going and going until they find someone they like better.  The they are gone.  Much better to not let it get that far gone.  Always going to hurt but less than when you wait for them to pull the plug.

I don't suffer fools, but I have the same weak spot that all people have when they get romantically entangled.  I left once by choice, second time, had to because I needed to keep my dignity, and third I left and never looked back.   So, I guess I do learn, but they were all born out of a determination to make it work and make it last long past the point where it needed to end.  Except for the first one.  If I would have gone the distance, I would have had the relationship most people who are mature and ready to partner up, have.

The other two were highly inappropriate and my choice to run from responsibility.

It was always the other person. A rather messy affair.

I think for me it's been maybe 50-50. Even Steven. I moved on or "the other" moved on. I think mutually deciding is best but I don't know how often that happens. Thank you for your reply Zack and Happy Wednesday!  :)
