You just completely upended my argument. You blew me away. I don't want to rain on your parade my friend but I'm pretty sure such clergy are not saying those things. I'm pretty sure you're pretty sure too. What I don't get is how the so-called devout can support a person who is so anti everything Christianity SUPPOSEDLY is based upon. I think mental midget covers it. Maybe worse but I'll settle for that. Thank you for a very AWESOMELY WONDROUS reply R. I read it once. I shall read it again. It warms my heart. I wish those who could would pray that way. I do. Odds? Not too good. :)

1 Tim 2:1-3 1I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
The Bible instructs us to pray for the leaders of our government. And Yes, I do pray for Pres Trump and did for Pres Obama. So no certainly not blasphemy.
