While it may be practical to look ahead or plan, wisdom understands that there is no promise of tomorrow. "Now" is what we have. "Now" is all there is. Life is like a vapor that rapidly dissipates, or at least that's what James tells us in scripture. When it comes down to brass tacks, everyone within the confines of the beltway is "myopic" and unfortunately, it's not the form of myopia that would be helped with corrective lenses. It's more like they can't see the forest for the trees. But why waste time criticizing them when there's Trump to childishly grumble and pout about.
