Excluding the deluded we can look in the mirror and assess our appearance fairly accurately. We can even put a number on it. But intellect?

I think it is far easier for  person to admit being nice-looking but not drop-dead handsome/gorgeous than to admit he/she is mediocre intellectually.

So here goes. I'm pretty sure Genius knows that it is.
I'm not sure if Mediocre knows or Slow knows.

Why do we so often think we are smarter than we really are? I mean how often do YOU look in the mirror and say "hello gorgeous"? I know Barbra Streisand said that line in a movie once upon a time. That was scripted. But how often do we admit others have greater wit intelligence comprehension than we do? That'll be the day! So how come?
