    I'd imagine it's both.
    What I may think of as a profound moment ... you may have realized already, so it's not profound to you.
    Or I may say something that seems common to me ... but you may never have thought of it, and see it as profound.

    Since you put it that way Walt of course I can only agree with you. It's logical. Eye of the beholder always kicks in as well as age experience knowledge intelligence character values. Once again "it's complicated". But you do recognize gibberish as a thing apart do you not? Or is even that potentially profound and meaningful to someone?     If gibberish wasn't meaningful to some ... we wouldn't have radical/extremist bigots, terrorists, etc.
