Ya I thought he was a great actor. Years ago the love of his life died (Geina Radler) so maybe he's with her now. Cheers!

He was a Hollywood guy. All you have to do as an actor is pretend to be someone else, no big deal.

Still, the parts he played were always of affable people. Somehow his appearance was given to lighthearted comedy roles. He appears in many works of entertainment from the times of his life, and for the most part those were good times. As I lived much of those times myself, his appearance was contemporary with some good memories.

He was successful in his career. He had loves in his life, including wife #3 Gilda Radner who died young, and wife #4 Karen Boyer with whom he lived out his last 25 years. He was dealt a good hand in his long life before Alzheimer's started bringing him down.

I certainly enjoyed his movies in the day and I know his late wife Gilda seem to adore him.  She wrote an autobiography before she died and it was endearing to hear her gush over her husband.

Gilda Radner was a very funny gal! She started out on Saturday Night Live. I know she died of ovarian cancer in 1989 and he was devastated . Thank you for your reply Nanoose and Happy Wednesday! :)

I think the title of her book was "It's always something". I remember that her cancer was in remission (ovarian cancer) and she seemed to be doing just great. Then it returned and you know the rest. She died in 1989 . Thank you for your reply PeaPod and Happy Wednesday! :)
