I was raised in an atheist family - have never believed in god - or any form of spirit being or immaterial sentience.
I can just about imagine the possibility of a universal consciousness - a combination of the sum of all minds - but I can't see it as existing independently of material phenomena. Rather, I think it would have to be a rarefied form of highly patterned energy, capable of holding patterns and changing - perhaps something even harder to understand than photons or plasma, harder to understand than dark matter or quantum physics.
Kali is pretty impreessive. Imagine her dancing one of those gesturing Indian dances

In point of fact, the capabilities of human intellect are orders of magnitude greater than other primates.
“god” as we see “her“ on AM, might be a measure above SOME humans intellectually, though not above any majority of members here.
While we’re at it, Gods, on the other hand, invariably resemble the ideals of those who observe them. Why else would we see a God who is intolerant, sexist, homophobic, violent and promotes slavery and ignorance...
People who think that just because humans are smarter than primates, and equates that with humans and how intelligent God is compared to humans, is one step below primates.
That is false. Humans are primates, human intelligence is just the highest order of primate intelligence yet known. It isn't one step beyond it, it IS it.
