Did you LISTEN to TRUMP making jokes about 911 bombing on Howard Stern one year after the day it happened? He has the NERVE to bash OMAR?

ttps://www.mediaite.com/online/watch-trump-joked-with-howard-stern-about-putting-statue-of-melania-at-ground-zero-on-1st-anniversary-of-9-11/

I'm going to put the end of the article FIRST:

But fewer people know how Trump celebrated the first anniversary of the attacks, which he spent joking with Howard Stern about how a statue of then-girlfriend Melania might make a fitting memorial at the site of the tragedy.

At the beginning of the interview, Stern and Trump bantered about where Melania was (in bed, Trump said) and whether she was naked (Trump thought so, but he wasn’t sure).

Later, they discussed what should replace the stricken Twin Towers at the World Trade Center site.

“Maybe we should build a television tower there,” Trump suggested.

“Believe me, a statue of your girlfriend would be perfect right there,” Stern quipped.

“Well, that would be an idea,” an amused Trump replied.

Stern and co-host Robin Quivers joked that no one would fly into a statue of Melania.

As the group laughed at that idea, a Stern intern added: “I’d like to fly into that!”

And during his presidential campaign, Trump waged a relentless campaign against Muslims, including his now-infamous claim to have seen “thousands and thousands” of people from “areas with large Arab populations” in New Jersey cheering when the Twin Towers were destroyed on 9/11, an utterly false claim:

Trump also has a habit of using the attacks of 9/11 as a way to brag about his own television ratings, as he did in a 2016 campaign speech in Iowa.

“‘Face the Nation’ put out a release last week that they had, their interview with Donald Trump, long interview, from Florida, that it was the highest-rated show they’ve had in 15 or 16 years, since the fall of the World Trade Center,” Trump told the crowd. he press release did not, in fact, reference the attacks of 9/11.

Or when he told another crowd, in Myrtle Beach, the same factoid, and asked “Do you know the power that gives me?”

Trump is under fire for posting an inflammatory video of Rep. Ilhan Omar‘s (D-MI) recent remarks about discrimination against American Muslims in the wake of the 9/11 attacks, but the controversy has brought renewed scrutiny of another former Democrat’s remarks about the tragedy.

During a March 23, 2019 speech at the CAIR-LA 4th Annual Valley Banquet, Rep. Omar spoke about the discrimination and violence that Muslims in America and elsewhere have faced, and remarked that “CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties.”

Trump’s video isolated the remark, and interspersed it with clips of the attacks in progress. Since then, he has faced criticism for “willfully endangering” the life of Rep. Omar, although he was just one of several Republicans to launch inflammatory attacks against her.

But the controversy has also cause people online to circulate another former Democrat’s history of remarks about the terrorist attacks. That former Democrat is Donald Trump, who registered as a Democrat in August of 2001, and switched to Republican in September of 2009.

No, as your article quotes, Stern suggested a statute of Melania not Trump. Trump reply was "there's an idea."
    Trump suggested a TV tower.

    What are YOU TALKING ABOUT?????

The OBJECT that evades you once again is that HE TALKED IN THIS MANNER ABOUT THIS ISSUE.  Who cares about who the statue was?"   ARE YOU KIDDING ME???

This jerk is going on and on and ON AND ON about the Muslim in Congress saying such deplorable NOTHINGS at all about 911 and he has the NERVE to joke about such a thing?

    WHAT A PIG.

THEN?  He has the nerve right after the 911 disaster to comment  THE FIRST THING HE SAYS IS THAT HIS BUIDLING IS NOW THE BIGGEST IN NEW YORK.

This is what you are defending, Sara. This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at April 17, 2019 8:35 AM MDT

Oh.  Then you are right.  OKAY?  YOU ARE SO RIGHT.  HOWARD STERN DID IT.

Just like Access Hollywood made that one?

He participated and LAUGHED HIS BUTT OFF.   THAT IS HIS ANSWER AND HE AGREED WITH STERN.  This whole conversation was inappropriate and hideous.  THAT SHOW IS HIDEOUS and anyone who thinks this is okay?  They have a very hideous outlook on the whole incident.  ESPECIALLY IN LIGHT OF HOW HE IS COMING DOWN ON OMAR who is just trying to make a STATEMENT and is not poking fun of 911 and how we are honoring that idea.

WHY DON"T YOU TRY WATCHING HOW PEOPLE ACTUALLY SHOULD RESPOND TO THIS TRAVESTY?  WHY DON"T YOU GROW A CONSCIENCE?  Just because it did not affect YOU?

This is our COUNTRY and your choice of President does not have a clue as to why this is so awful and obviously neither do you.  These were AMERICAN PEOPLE who tried to save the city and they are being virtually ignored now.

Such a shame you are willing to use your energies just to try and dig up "dirt" about our president from 18 years ago.  18 years ago!  Reminds me of old poor Paula Deen of cooking TV fame being convicted of a racist remark made in her youth.  When hatred drives us no one anywhere is safe from such  prosecution.

In 2001 Trump was just a wealthy real estate developer and I don't think had any real TV cachet as yet. And going on Howard Stern's show do you imagine he could get away with reciting The Lord's Prayer?  Did you ever listen to Stern?  He was like the decline and fall of western civilization.  Not only irreverent but outrageous. I could not listen to that kind of stuff compared to which Trump's current tweets are but mild and, naturally, partisan.  Obama used to push his agendas on the radio, Trump advocates informally in his tweets.

Just going through and living life we are bound to encounter much that offends us.  What we do with it and how we react to it and handle it says as much about us as what we take offense at.  And if we expect others to always think the way we do or behave the way we do or we think they ought to we only end up trying to impose our will upon them. Then we leave them no room for personal expression and without the freedom to determine the course of their lives for themselves.

    Such a SHAME?

I am responsible for EVERYTHING I SAY WHEN IT DAMAGES THE NATION AND I AM NOT PRESIDENT.

Are you seriously going to defend this?

You are the one that aught to be ASHAMED of yourself.

HOW DARE YOU.  You defend a moron?  And then come at ME?

I did not say jokes after 911 about how hot my future wife is.

I DID NOT TRY AND GET EVERYONE IN AMERICA TO DENIGRATE AND THREATEN A MUSLIM IN CONGRESS WHO DID NOT EVEN SAY ANYTHING AS INSULTING OR DEROGATORY AS THIS MORON HAS.

THEN HE HAS THE NERVE TO BRAY AND BRAG THAT HIS BUILDING IS NOW THE TALLEST IN NEW YORK.

    ARE YOU SERIOUS?

THIS IS WHAT YOU DEFEND?  GO now. PLEASE. Just go.

?      Nor was Trump Pres. in 2002. What do think we all did in 2001 and 2002?  Go into mourning?  Wear sackcloth and ashes?  Tear our hair out and  wail to the moon?  No we went on with our lives and enjoyed ourselves and tried to help others and just became a little more careful  about our environment and the people we allowed in it and watched our steps a little bit more.   When the purpose of everything becomes just for show and propaganda then I question whether we have lost our ability to be human.  When compassion becomes merely a set of public principles and stock sayings then it is not compassion at all. True compassion comes from personal human warmth and not from parroting a mere set of truisms.

If you don't understand that then there well might be many things you refuse to understand.  Because you are not talking just proper manners and compassion at all but rather serious totalitarianism.  If we are no longer able to be ourselves and make our own mistakes but must follow a prepared and prescribed script for everything.

My original comment stands. Yes I will go now because I find all this distasteful.

YES.  People of CONSCIENCE did go into mourning.

You obviously are missing a sensitivity chip for someone SO sensitive about her feelings.  WHAT ABOUT THE LOST LIVES?  What about that?  YES WE DID ALL GO INTO MOURNING.

And TRUMP?  He went into his mindless drivel about himself.  WHAT ELSE IS NEW?  Appearing on HOWARD STERN is enough bad publicity to begin with.

Who lowers themselves to appear on that show?  Just idiot morons who don't know any better.  I know there have been celebrities on there, I don't applaud any of them for their choice.  Stern degrades women, boasts about it, and has sluts appear and tell about their sex history.

That is Trump's venue for everything.  So, SINCE HE IS THE SAME PERSON AND AN ADULT BACK THEN, OF COURSE I AM GOING TO BRING THIS UP.  He pays a porn star to have sex while his wife is pregnant.  HOW DARE I?

HOW DARE HE?  HOW DARE YOU DEFEND HIM.  This is hypocracy beyond measure.  DEFENDING HIM?  STOP already.   This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at April 17, 2019 9:36 AM MDT

I did not defend the joke or the statements on the Access Hollywood tape. Just corrected who made the joke you are talking about. And certainly do not defend his adultery.
