Okay.  That makes it okay then.  OBVIOUSLY NOT.  She may just be a loony.  But this is how we must now spend our time.  Searching for "harmless people" who want to buy a gun.  We should not be selling GUNS this way. So easily.  SO easy to get that a looney or your next-door-neighbor can take the wrong meds one day and kill everyone in sight.

April 16 (UPI) -- Authorities in Colorado conducted a "massive manhunt" for an armed woman in connection with threats that led to lockouts at dozens of schools in the state on Tuesday, including Columbine High School, the site of a mass shooting nearly two decades ago.

FBI Denver and the Jefferson County Sheriff sought help from the public in obtaining information regarding Sol Pais, 18, a woman who traveled to Colorado from Miami, made threats and was considered to be "extremely dangerous."

An alert sent out by Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task force stated that Pais is "infatuated" with the Columbine school shooting in which gunmen killed 12 students and one teacher 20 years ago and was "attempting to buy firearms," The Denver Channel reported.

Given that she was found dead by suicide, perhaps her "infatuation" was with death in general and wanting to die at school.
We don't know, because they won't provide details.

Either way, she had mental issues - that her parents should have gotten her help for.
And maybe there should be a national database for people with suicidal tendencies.  
But honestly, I think that is you're serious about suicide, it's your Right - and a gun is the most efficient way.

Usually, if someone is intent on going on a killing spree, and they are denied their original target - they will find a similar one.
So we need to know exactly what the "(non specific) credible threat" was.

I totally see what you are saying.  I don't know if they are blowing this thing out of proportion, or what.  They might be keeping the rest on the down-low since she is on the run.  Maybe they have the SENSE for ONCE to keep it mum.  I DOUBT it. I am giving the media too much credit.  

I hope she is just some nutter who is off her meds and wants publicity and no one gets hurt.  BUT STILL.... this could happen any minute AGAIN and AGAIN....

Her dead body was found at the base of Mount Evans in Clear Creek County, Colorado, according to media reports.

Poor thing.  I can say that now because she didn't kill anyone.  She is demented. But it is hard to feel anything when the demented makes for killing innocents.  And children to boot.

Really?   Screw her,  look what her intentions were.  She isn't worth any sympathy.   So what if she was demented,  more reason she should be removed from public.

I'd say moreso some kind of database for those with proven homicidal tendencies. The issue though is it's a very slippery slope to define what precisely makes someone "crazy" enough to be barred from owning a gun and whether or not it should be a permanent ban. 

And now, we are told the saddest outcome.  This woman who wanted to kill, was found dead now.  So, she never got to see what she needed.  She needed to see that she needed HELP and medication.  

This is what I mean, franc.  Do not go off medications.  I don't think you would ever harm ANYONE.  That is not what I mean.  I mean this woman probably was recommended to take medicine for her mind and no one watched out for her.
