"I fall upon the thorns of life. I bleed". Profoundly moving poetry or a whinya** pathetic homo sap kvetching?

I say avoid thorns. Wear good shoes. Look where you are walking. Carry bandages. Don't just moan and groan and do nothing. Sheesh. I dunno. Any of you think that poetry is really swell? Why?

    I've never got into poetry ... other than songs.
    Or stories.  If it tells a story, is it poetry?
