One night playing poker with co-workers, I actually got three ... all in different suits.
They thought I was cheating, but couldn't figure out how ... since I was neither shuffling nor dealing.

Oh my gosh Walt! What are the odds of ever getting even one in your lifetime? You got three in one night? Oh my gosh. Well that was surely some kind of sign. Did you have a wide streak of good luck thereafter? Anything in your life change for the better? I'm always looking for signs and connections and that would be like getting 3 holes in one during a game. I don't know which is rarer. I'm gonna ask. Thank you for sharing that. I betcha no one anywhere ever topped that without cheating!  :)

I have only once. Have gotten many Royal Flushes when playing with wilds.

Me too with wilds m2c. But I got one natural Royal Flush too. I was so excited I could hardly contain it. Thank you for your reply and Happy Friday! :)

I've never gambled or played cards.

If we're talking game of life, I've experienced under-, even- and heavy-handed behaviours from others, but never more than one style at a time.

There was one phase in my life when I needed to be underhanded because it was the only way available to me to subvert and undermine the actions of a bully.
I've sometimes been a bit heavy-handed in verbal responses when heavily triggered.
Other than that, I try to be as even-handed as possible about most things. This post was edited by inky at April 19, 2019 4:24 AM MDT

Verbally heavy handed? I've yet to see that from you.  Well I learned to play poker by watching my dad and uncles play from the time I was about 7. I preferred being with them than with the women in the kitchen. I taught my son to play poker. I guess it's a family tradition. We'd play with beans or penny ante.   I never would be a big stakes gambler. I'm too practical. But the few times we've been to casinos we allot $20. I start off with quarters. When $10 is gone I switch to nickels. It makes for a lotta fun and sometimes I'd win. Once in Las Vegas a nickel machine paid me $285! It was awesome. I was with my sister and brother-in-law before I'd met Jim.  We had a fabulous dinner on me and I also bought us souvenirs and I even had a few bucks left. I can see the addiction to i because winning is exciting but I could never gamble away more than $20. It's entertainment with a sizzle. But it's also tons of fun to people-watch and you can usually get really good meals for not that much money. It's been years since we went to  casino. Oh I have a series of Hoyle games on the computer and I do play poker OFFLINE from time to time. But my real addiction is to a Scrabble-like game called BESPELLED. I love it! Sorry for the long-winded reply bw and thank you for your answer!  When I feel a need to be heavyhanded I usually withdraw and avoid. I don't enjoy battles so I don't engage in them! :) This post was edited by RosieG at April 19, 2019 4:37 AM MDT
