    I don't buy video games because I don't want to.  It says nothing about what I do spend my money on.  Trying to force someone to make an untrue statement by answering another question truthfully is something I will always call out.  Upon this rests the wicked existence of both the media and politicians/polls.     The way you asked the question forces people who do not buy video games to say they buy windex and insurance.  You weren't being malicious but the media and political polls, even nonpolitical polls, do it all the time.  Have you never seen a choice under a poll question that, rather than simply allowing  agree/disagree being the possible choice, it is No, because I think xxxxx when the No part is how you want to answer but you don't think xxxx.  That is what I am talking about.

    Even when a company asks you "Would you like to receive your statements electronically?"  You have to click either Yes or No, maybe later.  It infuriates me.  There is no maybe later.

  • Ahhhh I see :) I meant  by “windex and insurance“ really any more responsible purchases. I just think of windex and insurance as boring  purchases that have to be made as an adult, that‘s all.

    Jaimie, I got it.  But I also, like I said, mentioned the offensive sentence construction.  I acknowledged that you were not being malicious. But sentences that infer one thing simply by answering something else are dangerous and offensive...or they can be.

    Yes, I still play video games ... even though I'm paying for insurance, as well.
    I don't buy Windex anymore, because ever since they changed the formula it leaves streaks on my windows.

  • I bought one of those mini Nintendo classics last year cos I loved the games when I was a kid. They’re all stupid now though.

    I've been tempted to buy one of those Arcade1Up cabinets, just for nostalgia.
    They look like the old, full-size video game consoles ... and they play the old arcade games.

    It's funny ... I was in WalMart last year, Christmas shopping, and they had a couple of those Arcade1Up cabinets set up ... the old Missile Command and Galacta ... and teens were swarming it, playing.  I guess it's true ... if something is old enough, it will become popular again.  LOL

  • Nah,  I have a bunch of emulators on a raspberry pi and rip pirated roms for old systems.  I play them with my nephew when he visits.
    Other than that I find them boring and the new ones are a total scam.and rip off.  Once in awhile the idea sounds good and I play one but 15 minutes in I feel  like I am wasting my time in the dumbest way possible.
