Would the US be as excited about a presidential baby as those across the pond are about a new royal baby?

I think if we had a presidential baby, the first thing we need to find out would be who the father is.   I think the reason he has to pay porn stars to sleep with him is because his wife is repulsed.   She may be dumb as a post, but she has SOME taste left.  Doesn't she?    How much can a paid blow up doll trophy wife endure anyway?   Plus she is a little long in the tooth to have a kid.

Soo... I meant "presidential" in a general sense. Maybe Obama or maybe whoever comes next. Not necessarily Trump. I feel like I read somewhere that a female leader of another country had a baby while in office as well... recently. Darned if I remember who it was. Also a possibility.

And... random thought... IF Mrs. Trump had a baby, why should it matter to us who the father is?

When I was quite young, President Kennedy and the First Lady were expecting a child. I don't recall a lot of excitement but it was certainly looked forward to. Sadly, the baby was born prematurely and died a day or so after he was born.

If the press told them to be excited they would be.............this is the nature of the mass.  Sad but true.

I don't think it right to generalize about an entire country.  The people who are interested in such things - of course they would be.  Just as they are in the baby in England.  Though I don't think it is good to make media stars out of any public figure and so scrutinize them.  But that is what so many people apparently want to do and so they will do so whatever.

Given that the youngest Prez ever was 43 (JFK) - my parents were only a year older than that when they became GRANDparents. Most Presidents are past that sort of thing when elected.
